Moroccan Oil for Your Hair

Posted by: michelleeileen on: April 5, 2008

About a month ago one of my readers sent me a sample of a product that is made in Israel called Moroccan Oil. Moroccan Oil touts itself as having a formula that can restore the sheen to dry and brittle hair. It is also supposed to be pretty good for nourishing a dry scalp.

Instead of trying it myself, I gave some to my husband who would never admit to using any beauty products although he does use whatever expensive shampoo I happen to have in our shower. My husband has really dry scalp which is most noticeable during certain seasons of the year, especially the winter.

Right after the first application I noticed that it added a nice shine to his graying blonde hair. The shine lasted for at least a few hours. The next morning we discussed what he thought of the product and he said it seemed like a good product and he particularly liked the fact that it isn’t oily like some of the other products that are designed to help improve dry scalp conditions. He continues to use the product and the company still sends us as many samples as we ask for.

We’ve literally tried everything for his dry scalp and brittle hair. This product seems like a winner and the scent is fresh and mild.

I highly recommend this product to my readers!

Here are a few links to the four different products. We have only tried the first one on this short list.

I have never tried this product before but it looks like a good product, I might try it in the future thanks for the post.

THE PRODUCT IS A BRAND NAME CALLED MOROCCANOIL

SOLD ONLY BY MOROCCANOIL !

IT IS ONE WORD NOT TWO! MOROCCAN OIL ?

Love love this product!!! Best I have ever tried. I have really over processed hair that lacks any luster until now. I flat iron my frizzy hair almost daily and after using this my husband told me I had celebrity hair. I would and have recommended this product to everyone who will listen

Do you know where I can get a sample of Moroccanoil?

Icalled the company and asked for samples I couldn’t get any I would like to try the oil and cream I called the 800 # . How can I get some?
Thanks

I use this product everyday and I can’t say enough good things about it. It is a bit pricey ($40) but it should last about six months. It doesn’t leave an oily residue. My hair is shiny, not brittle and feels thicker after using. I love it.

Sounds amazing. So it conditions without leaving your hair feeling weighed down or greasy? I will definitely have to try this.

Thanks Michelle Eileen!

Moroccan Oil is THE best product in the market today. It conditions your hair speeds up the styling time but decreasing the drying time, leaves hair feeling so soft, manageable, and incredibly shiny. It’s also Great to put in you color formulations, it give your hair the ability to better absorb the color and keep the color longer. I Faithfully use Moroccan Oil EVERYday after my shower. I’m in Beauty school so i’ve used almost every product out there and there is NOTHING like this! You’ve gotta try it! For those of you that curl you hair with an iron or like to backcomb, i would suggest using the Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling cream. This gives you the results of the Original Moroccan Oil with an added hold that is molded by heat. TRY IT, IT’S SO WORTH THE MONEY

Moroccan Oil is absolutely the BEST! I bought a bottle at my hairdresser. And it works great on my colored hair! No more frizzes, dryness, color stays true and richer until the next touchup. I would definitely recommend this product!

When product is based fully on silicone, it make hair look great but …………………….

Cocaine makes people feel great but ………………………

I use this product every day after my salon used it on my hair. I couldn’t find it in the store so I bought it on line from Amazon. I got a great price on it. I use some before I dry my hair and then I use some more before the flat iron. I t leaves my hair feeling like silk. On the day that I don’t wash my hair a apply a bit more. I really love it.

Can moroccan oil also be used on skin? Does it absorb the same way as in hair? It seems to make my hands much softer when I use it on my hair.
Thank you, Barbara

How does this oil compare to the oil of Ojon?
Does anyone know? I loved the smell of the Moroccanoil!!!

Although I tried this too, at my hairstylist’s recommendation, I think everyone should know you are putting your health at risk by using it. The first three ingredients are considered highly toxic. Anyone who is concerned about toxic chemical build up and the long term effects on our health will want to stay away. Your skin and scalp absorb everything you put on it. Although my hair looked the best it’s ever looked, I do not want to find myself with tumors, liver disease or other cancers just to have non-friz hair!

Hello Julie,

you wrote on a comment page that Moroccan oil is toxic—What ingredients are in it that are toxic and what are you basing this on? I love the scent of the oil but don’t want to put my health in jeopardy.
Susan
